  Before dealing with the service of directletting from Dundee please to be sure that they don't respect people and law and could do the same thing with you !!!!!
  
  In effect, I am French and I was student at the university of Dundee. When I settled in my flat, I signed a contract but I have never done the check-in of the flat to notice if there is something broken or not.
  I stayed One year until 15 of August 2017. I asked the responsible Angela that I have to leave the flat on 15 of August and she told me that it is ok for her and she would be able to do the check-in of the flat.
  The 14 of August I came to the agency to remind her that the day after we have to check the flat together.
  They told me she was in Holidays and will be back next week, so they could not do the check-in with me and she will do that next week. I had to sign a contract that I left the keys.
  15 days after, Angela told me that the flat was dirty and we have to pay a company to clean the flat. But during this 15 days, two people were living in the flat and the flat was already dirty. She didn’t say that my room was dirty but the flat !!!!!! When I moved I cleaned my room and the flat but during this time if the persons living in the flat have not cleaned what can I do ?
  So the company came and she took £250 for cleaning. I could not do anything because I was in France and I just had to accept my half deposit back.
  Seriously I can’t understand how this company can be under the law because we had not signed a check-in contract before and after my time in the flat and took my money because the oven was not clean, the toilet dirty although my room was ok.
